Strobe/Nav light switches The strobe/nav light switch turns on the red, green, and white position lights. These lights are arranges just like those on a boat and must be operated at night when the aircraft is in motion. Operation during the day is optional. This switch (it is a multi-position switch) can also turn on high visibility flashing strobe lights on the tail and wingtips. These lights are normally on whenever the airplane is on a runway or in flight. These strobes are easily seen in the day or night and help other planes and controllers to see the airplane. |
