Rudder Trim This knob can be used if the pilot finds that slight rudder pressure is needed to keep the airplane in coordinated flight. If pressure is needed to keep the ball centered in the turn coordinator, this know can be turned to vary the airplane's default rudder condition when no pressure is applied to the rudder pedals. Because of various aerodynamic factors, normally slight right rudder pressure is required at high power settings. This means that the pilot may wish to touch up the trim depending on the mode of flight. Since the PS-28 series of aircraft is so well designed, this is a rarely used control. |
