Parking Brake The parking brake is a lever that can be used to brake both main gear wheels at the same time. If a small button is depressed while the lever is pulled, the lever will latch to remain on. While the lever (without the latch button) could be used to slow the aircraft on the ground, N4907J has "toe brakes" (only on the pilot's side) that allow the pilot to control the brakes on each main wheel independently. Since these don't require reaching down to the lever, the toe brakes are normally used when taxing or braking following a landing. |
